Problem Note 46116: Icons for SAS® file types might not be displayed correctly after you install SAS® Enterprise Guide® 5.1
After you install SAS Enterprise Guide 5.1, the icons for SAS file types might not be displayed correctly.
The problem occurs during the installation process when the sasvft95.dll file is not placed in the SAS Enterprise Guide installation folder.
Correcting Your Icons
To correct your SAS icons, do the following:
- First, locate and save a copy of the sasvft95.dll file according to the following instructions, depending on whether or not you have SAS® Foundation 9.3 installed on your system.
If SAS Foundation 9.3 is not installed on your system
Download the sasvft95.dll file from the SAS FTP site, making sure that you use the correct file:
At the prompt Do you want to open or save this file?, click Save.
If SAS Foundation 9.3 is installed on your system
Obtain a copy of the file from the resource folder under your SAS Foundation installation folder. Navigate to one of the following paths, depending on your system architecture, and copy the file.
- For 32-bit systems: C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASFoundation\9.3\core\resource\
- For x64 systems with 64-bit SAS: C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASFoundation\9.3\core\resource\
- For x64 systems with 32-bit SAS:C:\Program Files\SASHome\x86\SASFoundation\9.3\core\resource\
- Save a copy of the file in your SAS Enterprise Guide Installation folder.
- C:\Program Files\SASHome\x86\SASEnterpriseGuide\5.1
or
- C:\Program Files\SASHome\SASEnterpriseGuide\5.1
- If your .dll is named 64_sasvft95.dll, rename it sasvft95.dll.
- Icons for SAS file types will be displayed correctly after you log off and back on to your system.
